Banana Skin Facials and Bottled Water Skin Care? Gay Twitter Goes into Orbit over Influencer's 'Morning Routine' Video

Fitness tips or next-level comedy? Gay Twitter seemingly couldn't decide as fitness influencer Ashton Hall's "morning routine" video, featuring Saratoga ice water dunks and a banana peel facial, went viral.

Though originally posted in February, the clip conquered the internet after being shared on the "Tips for Men" X account.

The clip features a running time stamp, with inconsistencies that some zeroed in on. After his alarm goes off shortly before 4:00 a.m., Hall "started his morning by removing the mouth tape, which many believe reduces snoring and improves sleep apnea, and brushing his teeth," UK newspaper the Independent narrated.

"From around 4am to 4.20am Hall then works out before spending several minutes writing in his journal, watching motivational videos and plunging his face into a bowl of ice and bottled Saratoga water," the writeup continued.

But the fun was just beginning. Hall's video shows him doing pushups on his balcony, sipping at more Saratoga water, seeming to meditate for two minutes over a closed book before jotting in his journal, and then having another swig of Saratoga.

"Saratoga is featured prominently throughout the whole video, actually, and it's unclear if he has a sponsorship or is just pretending to," Olivia Craighead quipped at The Cut.

Next up: Hall gets ready for the gym at 6 a.m., sporting a workout shirt emblazoned with the validation "Worthy." By 6:38 he is deep into a run on a treadmill. After that, at 7:30, he heads for the pool. At 7:36, according to the time stamp, he leaps from the deck. By the time he hits the water a split second later, the time stamp has inexplicably jumped forward to 7:40. ("Bro was in the air for 4 minutes," one X user joked.)

A shower at 8:23 is followed by Hall eating a banana while standing in front of a bathroom mirror at 8:43; the fruit is re-tasked at 8:45 as Hall uses the peel as part of his skin care regimen, "which some believe helps treat acne and hyperpigmentation," the Independent noted.

"The real question here is how serious this whole thing is," The Cut article posited. "While his job is ostensibly to be a coach for fitness coaches, he knows that if he rubs a banana peel on his face more people will comment, which will push the video into more feeds, which will result in more money for him. The coaching thing is, at best, a front for the real operation."

But we're still not done: By 9:09 Hall, now clad in business casual attire, is dunking his face into yet another bowl of ice and Saratoga water.

"Hall's morning routine, which has received over 40 million views on YouTube, has proven influential in recent weeks with Saratoga Water seeing a 1,379 per cent Google search increase following the video thanks to the influencer's ice water ritual," the Independent marveled.

X users were a bit less impressed – and considerably more sarky.

Indeed, Gay Twitter exploded with memes of all sorts riffing on the influencer's "morning routine."

Others shared their own "morning routines."
