'Y'all Done Pissed Off The Wrong Transformer!' Says Trans Influencer Zaya Perysian

"And so it begins," captions a video by trans influencer Zaya Perysian posted on Instagram after she received a new passport.
The influencer, with 285,000 Instagram fans and 4.9 million followers on TikTok, went on social media "to confirm that she had received her new US passport with a 'big ugly M' in it following various rulings made by President Donald Trump's administration," reports the Daily Mail.
"In case you're wondering what it's like being transgender under this new administration, I just got my new passport in the mail and they changed the gender to male because of Donald Trump," she began.
She then showed her passport that marks her gender as male.
She continued: "Now mind you, all of my other documents are updated to female and I've been fully, surgically updated to female, but this is what they had to say, 'The sex was corrected on your passport application. The changes were made for one of the following reasons, to match our record.'"
Zaya had a passport as a child she says she used once. "So, basically it doesn't matter that all my other documents say female and that I've had my sex change surgery.
"If you've had a passport in the past that displays the opposite sex, then they will not honor your gender change," Zaya warns.
Not that she's accepting the ruling; she plans on taking legal action. "Because look, I am an adult and I have undergone my full medical transition. There is nothing about me anymore that represents male, on the exterior, whatsoever."
She points out that the new rule is dangerous. "The only thing that them denying to put female on my passport does is put me in danger while traveling, that's all it does. I'm in danger now!"
The change in gender policy on passports occurred after President Trump made an executive order that called for federal agencies to wipe out any acknowledgement of transgender people, intersex people, and nonbinary people, in everything ranging from anti-bullying guides for schools to federal identification documents.
It was followed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio ordering the State Department to freeze all applications for passports in which applicants label their gender as 'X,' in the latest attempt to reverse government options for individuals who consider themselves gender-fluid.
"Rubio insisted that a person's 'sex' and not 'gender' should be used in official government documents, including passports and consular reports of birth abroad documents," writes the Daily Mail. "President Trump's executive order stated that it would not invalidate existing passports but would need to be corrected when they were renewed."
Zaya sees this as fear-mongering by the Trump administration. "They are only doing this to scare people like me because they don't want us in public life, they want us to hide in fear and be scared of them.
"But trust me, I'm not going anywhere. Trans people have been here and we're staying here and I will fight this," Zaya promises.
"I'm not scared, I'm not gonna cry. I can still leave the country if I need to, but this saying male is crazy," she said, pointing to her new passport.
"This is a direct violation of my rights as an American citizen under the equal rights amendment – it's just a violation of my rights in general.
"I submitted a passport application that was intended to update my gender marker to female. That exact application is still available on the website to update your gender, y'all will honor it, trust.
"This is only the beginning babe, y'all done pissed off the wrong transformer!" she then warns.
