EDGE Interview: How JustFor.Fans Model Alexxx Gay is Coaching Adult Studios on Intimacy

It might seem that making adult content on whatever platform automatically means the creators are self-assured, secure, and enthusiastic. But that isn't always the case. For a variety of reasons, some in the industry need a little help with confidence. That's where JustFor.Fans creator Alexxx Gay comes in. He is an intimacy coach who not only creates content himself but helps others in the process.
Gay grew up in Maryland but now lives in sunny Southern California; San Diego to be exact. He says his childhood home was a conservative one under the watchful eyes of a legalistic Christian family. That type of situation can be tough for gay youth.
Gay just turned 30, and in this new decade of his life, he feels much lighter.
"So much happened in my 20s," Gay tells EDGE. "I began my 20s in a dark depression. I tried to end my life because deep down I believed that 'I am not enough.' Through lots of support in therapy and coaching, I've been able to finally enjoy being me. And in the last few years especially, I've really enjoyed breaking free from societal norms to live a life that feels more and more authentic."
Gay is an artist at heart and his JustFor.Fans page was the beginning of his exploration into sexual content, something he has always been interested in. Perhaps wanting to break free of the taboos from his Christian upbringing, he began to explore sex on camera and that led to helping others do the same, and the two are not mutually exclusive. "It's given me an outlet to support and empower others in a way I never could through coaching alone. As a coach, I teach you how, and as a creator, I get to show you how."
Many have said that JustFor.Fans is a perfect place for that. Gay is no different in his assessment. He says the company prioritizes creators and humanizes sex work, adding that they create a platform where people can express (and undress) themselves genuinely without barriers.
"Unlike some platforms, JustFor.Fans encourages authenticity, whether that's through unique niches, celebrating kinks, or fostering deeper connections between creators and their fans. For me, that fits perfectly with my focus on authentic intimacy," he explains.
That might seem like it should be the first thing on the resume for a content creator, but sex on camera isn't that easy. Spoiler alert, that's all a part of the fantasy. Some actors want to do more, but for some reason, they struggle. Many times, those actors are internally conflicted. Gay says the problem he helps with the most is the very thing that makes them a brand.
"The number one issue is fear of vulnerability," Gay contends. "So many people crave deeper connections but hold back because they're afraid of being rejected or misunderstood. My work involves helping them build confidence to express their desires and stand up for themselves while remaining open to others. My clients report having more fulfilling sex and relationships – romantic and platonic – and they genuinely like themselves more."

In this modern age of self care and, as one meme called it, "mindfulness," Gay has his work cut out for him. On one hand, he works with people who do one thing, and do it confidently. On the other, they are afraid to explore their inner feelings.
That's where the coaching comes in. Gay assists them in communicating their boundaries, expressing their turn-ons, and how to build trust with their costars. His approach is to help foster an environment where they feel safe in bringing their authentic self to the scene. It might seem superfluous, but it works, and major studios are starting to see its worth.
"When studios prioritize having someone like me on set, they are caring for their models' mental and physical well-being. And the bonus is that the scenes are much hotter because there's so much more genuine erotic energy between the stars," he says.
Chemistry sells. Nothing can take you out of a fantasy more than a lack of intimacy. That includes the extreme too. Depending on what fantasy you're in the mood for, the connection between the model and their partner (or the object) is important. Even a solo scene has to be convincing. Loving yourself can be a literal term in the adult industry.
But what about more extreme sexual activities? With his newfound freedom from shame, Gay is more sexually curious after all. He says he's into watersports, sounding, and fisting. We won't go into detail on any of those things, but if you're curious, check out Gay's JustFor.Fans account.
Gay is pretty intrepid and says there are a lot of things he's willing to try as long as it's between consenting adults. But he does have his limits.
"My hard boundaries are nothing that would cause permanent bodily injury, and no faking it," he says. "I spent too much of my life trying to contort myself to what I thought others wanted me to be. I want to bring my authentic self into everything I do now."
Though self-expression is one of the core ideals of adult content makers, there is something that still needs work. When asked if the industry is as diverse as he would like it, his answer was a resounding, "Fuck no!" But he admits there has been progress. "JustFor.Fans has made entering the adult industry more accessible because models no longer need to go through a studio. But there's still work to be done, and there always will be. I'd love to see even more diversity in terms of race, body types, gender identities, and sexual expressions. There's so much beauty in our differences, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm a slut for authenticity."
Speaking of which, he is starting a podcast this summer in which he will interview adult movie stars. They will gab about their turn-ons, insecurities, and, of course, sex. He will also use his coaching skills as an entertaining way to keep the conversation flowing.
Until then, Gay is concentrating on his JustFor.Fans page. There is a lot to see there, and he says it's more than just sex.
"My JFF page isn't just about the visuals; it's about the feelings," he says. "I focus on creating content that feels raw, real, and intimate – like you're a fly on the wall witnessing something deeply personal. It's not about an act; it's about the connection."
