InstaQueer Roundup: Jordan Firstman, Rickey Thompson & Amandla Stenberg Kill in Halloween Lip Sync Looks
Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 3 MIN.
Welcome to our latest Instagram round-up of the queer celebs who served, and those who came together to maximize their joint slays!
This week, we've got killer costumes and phenomenal lip syncs! Ballet dancer Gilbert Bolden III served hot cowboy in a sheer corset and leather outfit; "English Teacher" actor Jordan Firstman embodied the Ariana DeBose performance we'll never ever forget; queer popstar Rosalía has us gagged at the gloriously gory makeup she wore to party with her fellow pop stars; queer actors Amandla Stenberg and Rowan Blanchard paired their joint costume with a performance of the looks they embodied: Beyoncé and Gaga's hit song "Telephone."
Drag performer Black Peppa's Halloween photoshoot sees them having just another glamorous day on Earth as an alien; Rickey Thompson's costume is made even more magical with a "Defying Gravity" lipsync we can't stop watching; Niecy Nash and her wife's royal "Coming to America" costumes are breathtakingly romantic; and the dolls leveled up Halloween in the most spectacular, surreal, show-stopping group costumes!
This sheer corset, nips out on display, fingerless gloves, cowboy hat combo has NYC Ballet soloist Gilbert Bolden III serving sublimely. It's a killer look from every angle!
Rosalía rocked a truly gagworthy Halloween look: a CD that looks like it was frisbee-served right into her forehead, slicing through her skull and dripping blood. It's not for the faint of heart, but it is deeply slayful. Add to that the fact that the queer popstar wore it to party with fellow pop stars (Troye Sivan, Addison Rae, Charli xcx among them) and we've got a joint slay we'll be thinking about for ages!
Queer actors Amandla Stenberg and Rowan Blanchard took their pop culture costume joint slay to an even greater height with their lip sync performance of Beyoncé and Lady Gaga's hit, "Telephone."
"English Teacher" actor Jordan Firstman dressed up as, and then embodied Ariana DeBose in the performance we will never ever, ever forget. His look included the pastel pink pixie cut, the slayful limp wrists, and the awkward hip pops. And for that, we are so thankful.
In a move more elevated than just "dressing up," Black Peppa became an alien on their 401st day on Earth, doing such simple, everyday things as filling up at the gas station, and going grocery shopping in full glam and sparkly red outfit, with sharp red nails as long as their heels were high. That's icon behavior!
Niecy Nash and her wife Jessica Betts nailed this romantic, regal, queer "Coming to America" cosplay –it's pure cinematic perfection, complete with royal waving to the people of their kingdom and a breathtaking dress that surely needed its own SUV to travel.
Rickey Thompson dressed up and showed out with a Defying Gravity lipsync so captivating, so powerful that we simply cannot stop watching it!
The dolls have taken Halloween to a new, iconic, unreal yet SO real level!! There's no other way to put it: The dolls are dolling! The gorgeous queens –already magnificent works of art in their own right– put on a spectacular show, turning heads in surreal Halloween looks that were crafted by the unendingly creative Gigi Goode.
