Out Actor Anthony Rapp and Partner Announce Birth of Second Son

Openly gay "Star Trek: Discovery" star Anthony Rapp and his partner Ken Ithiphol took to social media to announce the arrival of their second child, a son they have named Keony Lee Ithiphol.
The couple announced the new arrival in a joint post at Instagram on November 29, the Star Observer reports.
"Meet the newest addition to our family: Keony Lee Ithiphol," the proud papas posted, along with a family portrait showing Rapp, Ithiphol, and both boys. "He was born on Saturday, November 25, 2023. 🥰 (Pronunciation: kee-OH-knee)".
"We are beyond grateful that our surrogacy journey has allowed us to meet such wonderful people and helped us to become a family of four. 🙏🏽💖✨".
Rapp plays scientist Paul Stamets on the sci-fi drama, and is famed for having originated the role of Mark in the popular muscial "RENT."
Fellow out "Discovery" actor Emily Coutts responded excitedly to the couple's announcement, posting, "Whaaaaaa!!!!!! Omg 😍 congrats. I can't wait to meet him. Also Rai looking so cuuuute."
Wilson Cruz, the openly gay actor who plays the husband of Rapp's "Discovery" character, Dr. Hugh Culber, responded with "🫠🫠🫠 CONGRATULATIONS! And HELLO, GORGEOUS!"
Kristin Chnoweth added her felicitations, too, posting "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️".
"The couple first met in 2015, when Ithiphol saw Rapp perform in the musical 'If/Then' and messaged him on social media following the show. The two became engaged in 2019, and began the process of finding a surrogate to expand their family soon after," MSN details.
MSN recalled that Rapp "was one of the first to come forward with sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey, a case that Rapp eventually lost in October of last year."
