Harnessing Nature in Harmony CBD's Unique Botanical Blends

Hemp-derived CBD is a natural product but you can also think of it as a botanical in and of itself, one that Harmony CBD harnesses in its relief, calming, and healing formulations.

The well-respected manufacturer and retailer built its reputation on quality CBD products, 90 percent of them USDA-certified organic. Many of them are pure hemp without any additional ingredients (except the carrier oil), including Harmony's Organic Original Hemp Oils, capsules, and pet tinctures.

However, several Harmony CBD products maximize CBD benefits (cannabinol) by blending key organic ingredients. In addition to the South Carolina–grown hemp that is the foundation of Harmony's product line, American-grown herbs and essential oils enhance its balms, lotions and soaps.

Harmony Relief Balm, for example, uses organic frankincense, an herb known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Meanwhile, its topical lotion incorporates lavender for its soothing aromatics, known for easing anxiety; and its Heal formulation includes calendula for its antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.

"We began working with a master herbalist to create our organic balms," says Harmony's CEO and Founder Janel Ralph. "After a few years of customer requests, we began to refine and improve the formulations."

Ralph says that a newer line of lotions with formulations similar to its balms have expanded options for customers who have come to rely on Harmony CBD for its unique, plant-based blends. Often, they're made with shea butter and beeswax, always sourced from vetted partner companies and approved through Harmony's supplier-verification system.

CBD's Array of Uses and Benefits
CBD itself promotes wellness by balancing the body's endocannabinoid system, considered the master regulatory system of nearly all living creatures.

Harmony's products harness the power of hemp-derived CBD and its array of benefits through its full-spectrum formulations – meaning that its CBD contains naturally occurring, trace amounts of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol).

The brand's organic tinctures can help balance a person's energy, serve as a neuroprotectant, and improve sleep, inflammation issues and more. Added botanicals can boost CBD's beneficial properties, creating a powerful, multi-purpose "entourage effect" throughout the body.

Those added ingredients include adaptogenic herbs. Commonly used in Ayurvedic healing practices, adaptogens are found in roots and plant matter and include turmeric, ginseng, ashwagandha, yam and licorice.

"These amazing herbs are natural, 100-percent plant-based, and work wonders within the body," says Ralph.

She adds that Harmony's products are used as a dietary supplement, as well as a salve "for any aches or pains after a long, hard day, as this product is produced and designed to target pain relief and inflammatory support. Our organic Relief balm, for example, is great after a workout," says Ralph.

CBD lotions and oils also work as daily skincare – one that dermatologists are finding to be effective and increasingly popular.

"There are studies that show CBD oil improves acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to control sebum production," says Cosmetic Dermatologist Michele S. Green, M.D. "In addition, it is a botanical antioxidant, which makes it a powerhouse for anti-aging, protecting from environmental damage, and improving the skin's texture and tone."

Ultimately, Harmony CBD is true to its name.

"We seek to provide our customers with harmony through each use of our products," says Ralph. "We define harmony as the ebb and flow of life. The subtle beauty of the small moments. We encourage each customer to find harmony from within and use our products for support and balance."
