Actor Jeremy Pope, who will star on the upcoming Ryan Murphy Netflix series "Hollywood," has already landed his next role: A part on Murphy's FX show "Pose."

The news comes from a mini-biography by The Hollywood Reporter in a feature about the cast of "Hollywood," a limited series about the Golden Age of Hollywood. On that show, Pope plays Archie, a sex worker and aspiring screenwriter who is black and gay. In the THR blurb about Pope, who has twice been nominated for a Tony award (for "Choir Boy" and "Ain't Too Proud"), it is also revealed that he will appear in "Pose" Season 3.

Filming for the new season of the ballroom drama began in New York City as the coronavirus broke out. THR reveals Pope, who is openly gay, will play straight for his "Pose" role.

"I'm really interested in him doing that one, two punch of 'Hollywood' as a gay person and 'Pose' as a straight one," Murphy said of Pope.

A similar casting situation happened with "Hollywood" star David Corenswet, who plays aspiring actor Jack Costello. He first appeared on Murphy's Netflix series "The "Politician" last year before being cast in the new drama.
