Earlier this month Netflix released a teaser for the upcoming biopic "Selena: The Series," which follows the late Tejano singer Selena (Christian Serratos) as she chases her dreams and makes sacrifices to achieve her goals. The streamer is now sharing a longer trailer for the show, which debuts on Dec. 4.

"Before she became the Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla was a young girl from Texas with big dreams and an even bigger voice," a press release about the show reads. "The two-part coming-of-age drama 'Selena: The Series' explores the once-in-a-generation performer's journey as a young artist, from singing small gigs in Corpus Christi with her family to becoming one of the most successful Latin artists of all time — and the years of grit and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigated together before Selena's meteoric rise to fame."

The first batch of episodes released next month will be part one of a two-part series. The show, created by Moises Zamora and Don Todd, also stars Gabriel Chavarria, Ricardo Chavira, Noemi Gonzalez, and Seidy López.

In 1997, Jennifer Lopez played the superstar in a feature film.
