Watch: 'Inside Edition' Calls Troye Sivan a 'Pete Davidson Lookalike' in Ariana Grande's New Vid, Twitter Reacts

Wednesday Dec 5, 2018

Several Twitter users are reacting to brief clip from CBS's "Inside Edition" in which a reporter identifies out pop singer Troye Sivan as a "Pete Davidson lookalike."

The moment came during a segment about the "Saturday Night Live" star's breakup with Ariana Grande. The report first details about Davidson's Instagram post in which he says he's being bullied following the split. The segment then breaks down their history and explores Grande's new music video for "Thank U, Next."

The video spoofs a number of romcoms from the 00s, like "13 Going on 30," "Legally Blonde," and "Mean Girls." In one scene from the video, Grande, dressed as the "Mean Girls" character Regina George (played by Rachel McAdams in the 2004 comedy), a notorious bully, Grande shoves Sivan into a locker as she walks past him in a school hallway.

"In the video, she rehashes her failed engagement with Pete Davidson," the "Inside Edition" reporter said. "It appears that she shoves a Pete Davidson lookalike, then she literally closes the book on their relationship."

Except, Sivan of course does not look much like Davidson and "Inside Edition" forgets that the duo collaborated on Sivan's single "Dance to This."

It's no surprise then that Twitter had something to say about the blunder. Find some of the best reactions below and check out the "Inside Edition" clip too.
